Job Description
Job Summary:
1. Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process including assessment planning implementation and evaluation.
2. Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
3. Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
4. Maintain standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
5. Be directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
6. Communicate with physicians about changes in the patients clinical condition including cardiac monitoring results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
7. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
8. Required to work in both Tele and MedSurg units without exceptions.
9. Must be willing to float between units as needed refusal may lead to contract termination.
