We are seeking an experienced Jig Grinder to operate Moore Jig Grinders primarily Moore G18 models to perform precision grinding on complex components. The candidate will be responsible for interpreting detailed drawings and sketches to create highquality parts with tight tolerances using manual machinery.
Requirements:
- 5 years of handson experience with Moore G18 Jig Grinders or similar jig grinding machines.
- Proven ability to achieve tolerances as tight as .0005 on a variety of precision components.
- Proficiency in setting up fixtures and parts for jig grinding operations ensuring stability and accuracy during the grinding process.
- Expertise in using various precision measurement tools such as OD/ID micrometers depth gauges height gauges and bore gauges to verify part dimensions.
- Solid understanding and experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings conforming to ASME Y14.5 standards.
Additional Competencies:
- Demonstrated problemsolving skills to address issues during the grinding process and adjust setups as necessary.
- Knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep jig grinders in top operational condition.
- Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality work.
Work Environment:
- Must be comfortable working in a manual machine shop environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
