- Prepares audiometric diagnostic data & written diagnostic reports.
- Provides auditory evaluations and education by measuring and studying noise conditions;
- Completes clinical notes of surgical cases and writes medical reports in consultation with the ENT physician
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
Patient Care
- Considers the patient’s safety as the first priority while working.
- Provides treatments by cleaning ear canal; fitting hearing aides and other assistive devices; conducting auditory training and instruction in speech and lip reading;
- Provides required counseling for patients and families; on ways to listen and communicate
- Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services by assessing and treating neonate, infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric hearing, balance, and communication disorders
Compliance with Medical Ethics
- Maintains legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to Ministry regulations, and professional standards.
- Exhibits appropriate personal and interpersonal professional behavior; practices medicine ethically
- Defines patient hearing impairment and balance disorder by conferring with referring physician;
Other Duties
