Summary:

We are seeking candidates interested in parttime paid internship opportunities starting in January 2025 and working through April 15th. Ideal candidates will have parttime availability working in our office (averaging 20 hours each week depending on one s availability). Our office is located at 20 Thornwood Drive Ithaca NY.

This is not a tax return/accounting preparation role this is a support function (no accounting/tax knowledge is

necessary). Multitasking and the ability to work with multiple personalities is key for this role.

Responsibilities:

Gaining a basic understanding of how tax processing workflows through the office.

Scanning and reviewing Tax documents for SurePrep

Assembling and processing Individual Partnership and Business Tax Returns.

Copy jobs

Distributing and maintaining supplies in different departments.

Assisting with research CPE planning/tracking support as needed.

Improving basic organization and planning skills.

Requirements: Business Accounting or Communications students who are currently enrolled in an Associate s or Bachelor s degree program. Students must be returning to school to be eligible. Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong organizational skills are required. Good data entry skills with emphasis on speed and accuracy. Functional knowledge of the MS Office Suite; Word and Excel are required. The ideal candidate must be able to meet deadlines be proactive and have solid multitasking skills.
