Job Description

Job Title: Key Accounts Coordinator

Work Location: Thika

Department: Sales (Bread Manufacturing)

Reports To: CEO

Employment Type: Full Time

Job Brief: Key Accounts Coordinator is responsible for identifying and recruiting new partners for longterm success as well as management of existing key accounts to drive sales growth.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Key account relationship management:
o Prospect Identify and develop a complete understanding of key account needs.
o Develop and manage a portfolio of Key Accounts across various business sectors.
o Act as the main point of contact between key clients and internal teams.
o Execute prospecting sales activities including setting appointments making calls and growing sales opportunities.
o Ensure customer needs are addressed effectively to achieve satisfaction.
o Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into longlasting relationships.

Demand Creation:
o Create implement and maintain all sales strategies tactics and plans.
o Together with other team members develop an elaborate pipeline of highquality prospects demand generation and effectively communicate report track and manage sales pipelines.
o Coordinate new client outreach and the implementation of new accounts including identifying decision makers and developing presentations and quotes.

Market Development/ sales growth
o Initiate sales activities strategies and sales plans to build company brand visibility in the Key accounts
o Analyze national bread market trends and discover new opportunities for sales growth in various sectors.
o Grow our market by 2% annually by recruitment of key accounts and harmonising stock movement.

Negotiate and close contracts
o Negotiate terms contracts and pricing with key clients to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
o Oversee the renewal and ensure that contract terms are favorable for both the client and the company
o Build and coordinate agent support including agent training merchandising and below the line (BTL) marketing strategies support and to earn growth space in the account.
o Provide timely accurate competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.

Backoffice support
o Overall responsibility to offer backoffice support to the sales leads e.g. preparation of quotations price negotiation documents project management of customer deployment activities etc.
o Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant company departments.

Quality Control
o Implement quality assurance procedures to maintain product and regulatory standards and report / manage customer complaints.
o Conduct regular inspections address quality issues expiry dates and propose corrective actions to the production department.

Team management Training and Development
o Supervise the activities of the sales team merchandisers
o Lead and motivate the sales team to consistently meet/exceed and close sales targets/ deals.
o On board and train new hires and provide ongoing skills development opportunities.
o Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
o Conduct regular key account sales meeting and performance reviews to ensure the team is on track to meet the sales targets

Key account Sales Reporting and Documentation
o Maintain client records keeping and sending periodic updates and having an overview of account contract information including the best times to reach out for renewals and account updates

Accountabilities:
The National Sales Manager is accountable for the following:
Overall Key accounts sales growth (percentage and in volume).
Credit management
Team and client relationship management.
Cost management.
Company property at strategic key accounts

Requirements

Education and Key qualification Requirements:
Education:
Degree in Business Administration Sales & Marketing or a related course
Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or relevant role in sales or Marketing.
Key account management skills; strong understanding of customer needs structure and business drivers.
At least 5 years experience in sales management FMCG preferable
Those with experience selling bread/confectionery products will have an added advantage
Proven track record in developing and implementing customer loyalty programs negotiating contracts and identifying opportunities for growth.
