Position Overview: The Healthcare Data Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing complex healthcare data to drive decisionmaking and improve healthcare services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis a solid understanding of healthcare systems and the ability to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Collect clean and analyze healthcare data from various sources including electronic health records (EHR) claims data and patient surveys.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) trends and outcomes.
- Insights: Identify trends patterns and anomalies in healthcare data to provide actionable insights for improving patient care and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers IT professionals and management teams to understand data needs and ensure the accuracy and relevance of data reports.
- Data Quality: Implement and monitor data quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy completeness and reliability of healthcare data.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards including HIPAA when handling and analyzing patient data.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends best practices and emerging technologies to enhance data analysis methodologies and tools.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration Data Science Statistics Computer Science or a related field. Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Health Data Analyst) is a plus.
- Experience: Experience in data analysis within a healthcare setting with a strong understanding of healthcare data systems and analytics tools.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g. SQL Python R) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI). Familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare databases is preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data insights to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
