Job Description

T. Rowe Price is a wealth and asset management company headquartered in Baltimore MD and with a large technology campus in the surrounding suburban area. They offer a variety of financial products and services to individuals institutions and thirdparty investors.

The Investment Technology group at T. Rowe Price is looking for a Data Analyst to join their team! This group supports the US Intermediaries Business at T. Rowe Price and have several large projects going on that support their investment products for their customers. One of the key projects is the Distribution Intelligence PlatformThis is a Data Lake that consumes Salesforce adobe and 3rd party data then ingests into Snowflake then reports are created in tableau for users. This a huge engagement with cross matrixed support both onsite and offshore. T. Rowe is looking for a senior Business Data Analyst who can work with the product owners understand their pain points around data related reports and applications. Also will then need to work with mdm and salesforce team and help them understand and solve the data issues and create user stories around them.

Well versed with SQL knowledge.
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends patterns and anomalies using tools like Excel Alteryx SQL.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts architecture and best practices.
Experienced in eliciting documenting and managing business requirements.
Ability to work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.
Ability to lead meetings ensuring they are productive efficient and achieve desired outcomes.
Experience with Agile methodologies write stories for the development team lead refinement sessions.
Ability to build data models using tools like Erwin/Hackolade

Nice to have:
Prior experience working with Salesforce tool.
experience using Snowflake database
Knowledge of ETL tools like Power Center IICS


Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education
2. 5 years of experience writing queries on databases like Oracle postgres snowflake is required
3. Experience and ability to create userfriendly Excel spreadsheets from a large set of raw data
4. 2 years of experience in the field of data governance data quality meta data management is preferred
5. Experience understanding formulas and algorithms and capability of dissecting a problem into manageable parts
6. Experience with ETL tools like power center IICS Snaplogic is a preferred
7. Experience processing various file types (CSV Fixed Width JSON XML)
8. Experience in Programming languages like Python is preferred
9. Experience with MDM salesforce is preferred
10. Experience with AWS is preferred
11. Familiarity with iterative development methodologies (agile)
12. Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills
13. Ability to set priorities and objectives then plan and organize the team in order to meet them
14. Able to work independently plan workloads and deliver on commitments
15. Superior analytical evaluative and problemsolving abilities
