Job Description

Project/client: bank

Project duration: 8 months

Start date: ASAP

Location: Preferably Baltics & Poland remote from EU

Limitations: EU citizens or residents with work permission in the EU

Role: We are seeking a Scala Engineer to build distributed BigData processing pipelines and enable advanced analytics for a banking clients Financial Crime Prevention Unit. The role involves leveraging Spark to process large data sets working closely with DevOps QA and Product Management teams.

MustHave Requirements:

  • Experience with Scala and Spark
  • Familiarity with Hadoop stack (YARN EMR Sqoop Hive Impala)
  • Experience with Jenkins JIRA Bitbucket Git
  • Ability to work in a Continuous Delivery environment
  • Strong communication skills and experience with distributed teams
  • Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with Kafka and Snowflake
  • Familiarity with data security (encryption anonymization)
  • Datadriven mindset and Agile methodology experience
  • Prior experience in the Financial Services sector
