Job Description
We are seeking a solid Sr. Security Engineer strong WIFI experience using Aruba and also has strong Firewall experience
Please note we can only accept EAD to GC GC and USC for the position below.
Location: Position will start in the office to train (several weeks minimum); Once trained flexibility to work Hybrid Onsite/Remote Usually three days onsite and two offsite (managers discretion on what days) Normal office hours 8am5pm (rare occasions off hrs)
Physical Work Address: Boston MA
Position Type: This will start as a 6 month Contract with possibility for extension or conversion to Perm
Required skills:
Minimum of 5 years of Info Security experience
Very strong WIFI experience using Aruba
Strong Firewall experience
Strong knowledge of Operating System Administration
Intrusion Detection/Prevention systems
Coding skills in C Java PERL Python or a similar language are strongly preferred.
BA or BS degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field preferred.
Must be able to work independently and within a team setting.
Certifications Highly Preferred
Certified information systems security professional (CISSP)
Security certification
Systems administration
WIFI experience Aruba
Project Overview:
Projects typically involve evaluating designing and deploying security solutions to meet Client needs. Such projects frequently require working with others to determine requirements and select appropriate solutions. From there typical projects include developing and implementing these solutions. A Security Engineer also recommends strategies to prevent security exposures and prevent intrusions with guidance from the Director of Policy and Security works with others to manage access control for nonInformation Security projects and analyzes the output of various security monitoring systems.
Daytoday tasks include cyber incident response evaluation and implementation of requests for firewall changes.
This individual will be highly focused on the technical aspects of information security in contrast to a SoC analyst or a policy & governance specialist.
