Monitoring Tools Engineer
Charlotte North Carolina (Hybrid role)

Looking for an experienced Monitoring Tools Engineer to join the APS Telemetry team. In this role you will be the technical expert for specific core monitoring tools and work directly with our application production support and application development partners to ensure the proper installation setting of thresholds and dashboard configuration. Youll be working with industryleading products you will experience how you can be a gamechanger enabling applications to have less downtime than ever before.
Rollout of Dynatrace as the strategic monitoring tool across banking applications replacing AppDynamics.
Host demos overviews and training of the monitoring tools for adoption across teams preparing related materials to support sessions and adoption of tools
Partner with the Production support teams/Engineering teams and assist in configuration of monitoring events/dashboards to maximize the potential and use of monitoring tool.
College degree preferred
Several years Development or Architecture experience for multitiered business applications
Individual will need to be proficient in the support of Dynatrace Managed including the deployment instrumentation and leveraging the tool as an Application Performance Monitoring capability
Proven experience with one or more supporting monitoring tools such as Splunk SiteScope Microfocus BPM Catchpoint
Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services processing monitoring shell scripts etc.
Proven experience in programming languages (Java and/or .NET)
Proven experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring
Proven experience in NTier Architecture supporting a multitude of products (Webserver Middleware Database etc.)
Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes
An excellent communicator able to network and influence across multiple levels is required of this role
