Job Title: Engineering Manager Hardware Wearable Product Validation Team
Location: Sunnyvale CA (100% onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Years of Experience: 15 Yrs.
Required Hours/Week: 40hrs./Week
Notes:
  • F2F is compulsory after initial web interviews

Job Requirements:

  • We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Hardware Wearable Product Validation Team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the testing and validation activities of our cuttingedge wearable technology products.
  • This role requires a blend of technical expertise in hardware engineering leadership skills and a deep understanding of product validation principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Management:
  1. Lead a team of engineers and validation specialists
  2. Manage and oversee the teams performance including setting objectives conducting performance reviews and facilitating professional development.
  3. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  4. Develop and implement training plans to ensure the team has the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their job functions effectively.
  • Product Validation Strategy:
  1. Review and contribute inputs on implementing comprehensive validation strategies for wearable hardware products to ensure they meet quality functionality and reliability standards.
  2. Collaborate with cross functional development teams to device validation from proto phase.
  3. Oversee the creation and maintenance of validation plans protocols and reports.
  4. Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with product development and validation.
  • Test Automation and Infrastructure:
  1. Develop and maintain automated testing infrastructure and tools to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Collaborate with the software team to develop automated testing scripts and frameworks.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting:
  1. Supervise the design and of testing to identify potential issues in product designs
  2. Drive the team to complete the troubleshooting and resolution of hardware issues uncovered during the validation phase
  3. Ensure that all product issues are documented and addressed prior to product launch.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  1. Continuously evaluate and improve validation techniques to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  2. Implement best practices and stateoftheart validation tools and technologies.
  • Crossfunctional Collaboration:
  1. Work closely with other engineering teams product managers and quality assurance to align validation activities with overall product timelines and objectives.
  2. Communicate validation results and insights to stakeholders and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Project Management:
  1. Manage multiple projects simultaneously prioritizing tasks and resources to meet project deadlines
  2. Develop and track resource allocation plans
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  1. Communicate technical information to nontechnical stakeholders including project status technical issues and test results.
  2. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including sales and other cross functional infra support to maintain proper operational management


Work Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in hardware engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in leading large scale teams
  • Proven experience in hardware product testing and validation preferably with wearable technologies.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and product development processes.
  • Excellent problemsolving organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in using validation tools and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills:

  • Expertise in any of the functional domains such as Audio Camera Display Connectivity
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
  • Program management
