Job Description
Job Title: Jr. Network Engineer
Contract Period: 10/01/2024 9/30/2025
Work location: Ridgefield Park NJ
Position Summary:
- The candidate will be in charge of Network Switches (Core L2 L3) DHCP Firewall WIFI Controller and Aps including Network Applications IP map management Vendor line and Cooperation line.
- The candidate will be capable to plan design and implement network infrastructure for new remote sites
Responsibilities:
- Maintain computer networks including routers switches VPNs and other physical hardware/software
- Monitor systems to improve network performance for all systems
- Troubleshoot resolve and communicate networking issues to other employees and management
- Install configure and upgrade network hardware and software
- Create firewall rules and update software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected
- Provide onsite support for projects that require onsite installation and support
- Arrange scheduled upgrades
- Investigate faults in the network
- Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases
- Participate in oncall rotation
- Report network status to key stakeholders
- Perform IP address auditing
- Improve knowledge and understanding of network and security best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to travel overnight
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 2 year of related work experience
- Possess strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to execute excellent customer service relationship skills
- Ability to collect and analyze information problemsolve and make decisions
- Strong documentation skills
- Prior experience providing network administration a plus
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) a plus
