Job Description
Role: SR.BIW Design Engineer
Location Raymond OH
Job Description:
- 8 years of proven experience designing highvolume designs of closures assembly / BIW parts
- Development of door outer panel (ASurface) in collaboration with OEM Design Studio and Design Engineering
- Development of latch reinforcements intrusion beam hinge reinforcement door inner panel and another structural panel
- Work with Closures Mechanisms team to package latches system
- Ability to create and complete Sheet metal parts e.g. brackets Panels Sash etc.
- Experience in creating 3D designs and 2D drawings (e.g. CATIA V5/V6 only)
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written and capability to drive offshore team
- Actively engage with Automotive OEM design engineers to collaborate on design projects for trading off cost mass joining methods formability and performance.
- Strong working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing including familiarity with GD&T and dimensional engineering
- Very good proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 is must
