Position: Procurement Officer
Company Overview: Our large architecture firm in Jeddah Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Officer (specialized in Construction) Civil Engineer to join our team. We specialize in providing innovative and sustainable architectural designs for a wide range of projects in the region.
Job Overview: As a Procurement Officer you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for all materials equipment and services needed for our projects. You will work closely with our project managers architects and vendors to ensure timely and costeffective delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality products/services
- Identify and source materials equipment and services needed for projects
- Review and analyze purchase requisitions and negotiate contracts with suppliers
- Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Collaborate with project managers to identify procurement needs and develop procurement plans
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Maintain accurate records of purchases pricing and deliveries
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures
- Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to improve overall efficiency and quality
- Assist in budget planning and cost control measures
- Keep uptodate with industry trends and developments in procurement practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement preferably in the architecture or construction industry
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
- Knowledge of local and international procurement laws and regulations
- Fluent in English & Arabic
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
