We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Foreign Language Teacher for the Undergraduate Korean Program (UKP). As an Assistant Professor you will play a key role in delivering intensive Korean language instruction in a studentcentered environment. This is a unique opportunity to engage in a diverse multicultural setting and help students achieve fluency in Korean. Classes are conducted six hours per day five days a week with the exception of federal and training holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Korean language skills including listening reading writing and speaking in an immersionbased setting.
- Integrate technology into the classroom using resources such as Smart Boards iPads Tablet PCs and the Internet.
- Prepare modify and deliver course materials and homework assignments that support a diverse student population.
- Stay updated on current foreign language teaching methodologies and theories applying them in a classroom setting.
- Engage in continuous faculty development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Foster a studentfocused learning environment addressing individual learning needs and promoting cultural understanding.
Requirements
Ph.D. or Master s Degree in Foreign Language Education TESOL/TEFL Linguistics Korean Language Literature Education Educational Psychology Educational Technology Translation & Interpretation CrossCultural Studies or Educational Administration. (Attach a copy of your transcripts for verification.)
OR
Master s Degree in any discipline and one year of directly related work.
OR
Bachelor s Degree in any discipline and two years of directly related work.
