VACANCY: 47/2024: Head of Procurement

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller the incumbent will be responsible for managing the Supply Chain section of the company. This position is a strategic role responsible for leading the supply chain team supports all aspects of the supply chain by ensuring effective communication between both external and internal stakeholders and ensuring all procurement align with company strategy and goals effective management of inventories and all company tenders. The role requires excellent planning communication and accounting skills including an understanding of Fiji and the global financial market.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage the endtoend procurement process for the organization in compliance with relevant policies processes and regulation frameworks.
  
• Effectively manage all procurement including all stakeholder communications and ThirdParty transport carriers to ensure all movement of goods and delivery of goods is performed in a timely manner including returns recalls and urgent shipments.
  
• Plan develop implement and improve Supply Chain strategy policies and processes for the company on a regular basis keeping in mind the changing business environment and to oversee procurement governance in the organization.
  
• Assist in the compilation of the Annual Operating Plan of the company.
  
• Develop and maintain an accurate forecast system ensuring operational activities are correctly planned and scheduled.
  
• Develop and maintain the organizations inventory as well as the inventory management system and ensure appropriate policies and processes are in place for the effective management of these.
  
• Establish meaningful and clear KPIs that are measurable and ensure alignment with business strategy.
  
• Effectively manage a team ensuring a culture of development and excellence.
  
• Train staff where required to ensure the preservation of knowledge and that industry best practices are continually employed.
  

Requirements

Qualification & Experience:

Degree in Accounting from a recognized tertiary institution and a qualified CPA.

More than 3 years experience in a similar role.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Applications.

Possess Analytical Financial and Documentation skills.
