Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain system reliability through troubleshooting repair and maintenance and service restoration of energized and deenergized overhead and underground facilities.
- Perform work assignments in compliance with safety standards set by OSHA VOSHA and policy and procedures.
- Perform switching orders on transmission and distribution circuits under emergency or scheduled situations.
- Perform field verifications for updating the mapping system and circuitone line diagrams as required to consistently maintain current information which contributes to a safe work environment in the field. Expedite the repair of streetlights according to Operations guidelines to ensure public safety.
- Operate transmission and distribution substation devices during emergency and scheduled switching.
- Coordinate with contractors and customers on scheduled appointments for work being done at the customers address.
- Provide field training for apprentice line technicians system operators meter technicians and electrical engineers.
