Job Description:
Join the dynamic team at the Surgical Stepdown Unit (SSDU) located at a tertiary care hospital with 528 staffed beds. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the PCU you will work in a 24bed unit providing care for both intermediate care and unitbased patients. The unit primarily manages surgical neuro/neurosurgical and trauma patients who require a higher level of care than a regular unit but not full ICU support.
This unit specializes in vascular surgery stepdown care for patients who have undergone procedures such as carotid endarterectomy fempop bypass grafts amputations and other related surgeries. Additionally it serves as overflow for the MSDU and handles ventilator/high respiratory need patients.
Rotation Schedule:
- Typical rotation is 2 weeks of day shifts and 2 weeks of night shifts. There will be no alternating day and night shifts within the same week.
- Firsttime travelers are welcome to apply.
- Travel pairs must be flexible with different shift schedules.
- Nurses can work either 3x12 or 4x12hour shifts based on availability.
- Every other weekend (EOW) is required.
