Job Description
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (Parttime)
Charters Choice Educational Services
Los Angeles County
$65$70/hr
JOB SUMMARY
Charters Choice Educational Services (CCES) seeks a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. As an integral member of our special education program you will provide occupational therapy services to students with diverse learning needs in a schoolbased setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess students functional performance and identify areas of need.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address occupational therapy goals and objectives.
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students including sensory integration activities fine motor skills development and adaptive equipment training.
- Collaborate with teachers parents and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Consult with school staff on classroom accommodations modifications and strategies to enhance student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the IEP team to develop and implement student goals.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate student records and documentation.
- Provide professional development and training to school staff on occupational therapyrelated topics.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current California Occupational Therapy License
- Experience working with children with special needs in a schoolbased setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of developmental milestones and occupational therapy theories and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to travel to different school sites within Los Angeles County
