Job Description:
We are hiring for an Investment Analyst position at a private equity firm based in Mumbai. This role involves being an integral part of the investment management process where you will contribute to the evaluation and of investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Screening:- Participate in preliminary discussions with intermediaries and promoters.
- Coordinate industry research involving both primary and secondary research to assess investment opportunities.
Processing Shortlisted Transactions:- Conduct thorough business due diligence and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with due diligence agencies understand their analysis and provide recommendations to facilitate investment decisions.
Portfolio Company Support:- Review and evaluate monthly Management Information Systems (MIS) from portfolio companies.
- Assist investment bankers in preparing information memorandums and business models for potential exits.
- Support the growth strategy of individual investee companies at regular intervals.
Placement Memorandum Preparation:- Work with the investment team to prepare the placement memorandum for new fund offerings.
Requirements
Candidate Expectations:
Academic Background:- A postgraduate qualification in finance such as an MBA or Chartered Accountant (CA) is required.
Experience:- 6 months to 3 years of experience in financial institutions preferably in investing investment banking or due diligence roles.
Skills:- Financial Planning & Analysis: Strong knowledge of financial planning analysis and management principles.
- Investment Strategies: Deep understanding of asset management operations and investment strategies.
- Analytical Abilities: Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Indepth understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance within the asset management industry.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in financial software ERP systems and reporting tools.
- Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead and inspire with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Technical Proficiency:- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
