Job Description
- Partner with classroom teachers to integrate English language development across all subject areas.
- Provide individualized and small group lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of ELL students.
- Create an inclusive welcoming and safe classroom environment that fosters student growth.
- Establish clear expectations for behavior to promote a productive and secure learning environment.
- Regularly evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure continuous development.
- Design and execute lessons for ELL students aligned with both school and state standards.
Requirements
- Uptodate Illinois PEL with ESL endorsement.
- Experience as an ESL Teacher or in a related teaching role.
- At least a bachelor s degree from an accredited institution is required
- A Master s degree in TESOL or a related field is highly preferred.
- Prior experience working with students from diverse language and cultural backgrounds.
