Job Description

Position: Plant Manager

Location: Scarborough ON

Duration: Permanent

JOB SUMMARY:

As the Plant Manager youll oversee daily plant operations and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to

ensure efficient highquality production. Reporting to the VP of Operations you will lead efforts in

continuous improvement manage performance metrics and support customer initiatives including

product trials and new launches.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide handson leadership for daytoday operations.

Achieve performance metrics such as quality safety and efficiency.

Manage production schedules and inventory levels.

Monitor expenses and identify costsaving opportunities.

Ensure compliance with safety policies and health regulations.

Develop and manage plant budgets.

Oversee hiring training and development of the production team.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Remove production constraints and enhance productivity.

Collaborate with R&D and supply chain teams.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Long periods of standing/sitting/walking.

Engage in bending stooping squatting and ladder climbing.

Work in various weather and temperature conditions.

Lift objects to 25 kg (50 lbs).

HEALTH AND SAFETY:

Conduct tasks safely and responsibly.

Participate in health and safety training.

Report accidents unsafe conditions and damages.

Comply with safety regulations and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

7 years of leadership/management experience in manufacturing.

Strong budgeting and financial management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis.

Experience with continuous improvement tools (e.g. Six Sigma Lean).

Knowledge of safety systems and enforcement.

Excellent leadership team building and coaching abilities.

Strong planning organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic environment.
