As a Senior Software Engineer at 8returns youll tackle realworld problems with a direct impact on reducing the environmental and financial burden of ecommerce returns. Tasks
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at 8returns youll be part of a small agile team focused on building a product that helps online retailers automate and optimize their returns process. Were tackling a massive global problem as 10 billion pounds of returns end up in landfills every year. Youll play a key role in building and scaling our platform using Ruby on Rails and React and working with technologies like Postgres Heroku and AWS.
Youll be responsible for developing new features improving existing ones and ensuring that our platform is highly performant and scalable. You will work on the frontend (creating intuitive user interfaces with React) and the backend (designing and building APIs and integrating with external systems using Ruby on Rails). Youll have significant ownership over product areas and work closely with other developers to ship highquality code.

Requirements
Experience: 3 years of experience developing highperformance web applications. If youre more frontendfocused experience with React is a big plus. If youre more backendfocused strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails and experience designing maintainable systems and APIs is exactly what were looking for.
You have broad experience with web technologies and are comfortable working across the stack.
Ability to think creatively and critically especially when working in a fastpaced dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
You can work autonomously and bring your own perspective identifying when to raise red flags or suggest different approaches.
Bonus points if you have experience with Postgres AWS or Heroku but willingness to learn is just as important.
