Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Azure Cloud Engineer to design implement and manage our cloudbased solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying configuring and optimizing Azure services ensuring security scalability and operational efficiency. The Azure Cloud Engineer will work closely with IT development and security teams to drive cloud initiatives and deliver highperformance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design deploy and manage scalable Azure cloud solutions including virtual machines databases networking and storage.
• Implement and maintain security measures on Azure ensuring compliance with security policies and industry standards.
• Monitor and optimize Azure environments to ensure performance availability and costefficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams to support cloudnative application deployments and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Use infrastructureascode (IaC) tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates Terraform or Ansible to automate cloud operations and deployments.
• Manage Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) rolebased access controls (RBAC) and multifactor authentication (MFA) to ensure secure access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure network connectivity and storage.
• Perform regular maintenance patch management and backups to ensure the reliability and stability of cloud services.
• Conduct cost analysis and optimize cloud resources to manage and reduce Azure expenses.
• Stay uptodate with the latest Azure services technologies and best practices providing recommendations for improvements.
• Support disaster recovery planning and including backup and recovery of cloud systems and data.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations related to cloud security and operations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience:
  • 3 years of experience in cloud engineering with at least 2 years focused on Azure environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services such as Azure VMs Azure App Service Azure SQL Azure Functions Virtual Networks and Storage.
  • Experience with automation tools like ARM Terraform or Azure DevOps.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell Python) and Azure CLI.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts including DNS VPN firewalls and load balancing in an Azure environment.
  • Experience with security best practices including Azure Security Center Azure Sentinel and encryption mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and serverless architecture.
  • Excellent problemsolving analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
