The selected in coordination with the technical team of the EUKafi Programme and the Procurement/Contract and Financial Manager and under the supervision of the Programme Manager the Communication and Visibility Officer will be responsible to implement the following tasks:
Support the implementation of the EUKafi Programme Communications and Visibility activities including development editing production and dissemination of communication and visibility material (i.e. publications proceedings of events/meetings presentations briefs brochures factsheets infographics posters banners media material etc.) related to ongoing projects and programmes promoted by EU KAFI AICS Cairo in Egypt and in the countries of competence including other EUfunded programmes.
Coordinate under the supervision of the Procurement Manager with external suppliers and consultants for content development communication products and gadgets and for the organization of events promoted by EU KAFI AICS Cairo in Egypt including other EU funded programmes.
Assist in the preparation of al relevant documentation for the supply of goods and services related to communication and visibility activities according to the "Procurement and Grants for European Union external actions APractical Guide" (EU PRAG).
Manage and improve the social media platforms including Facebook Twitter and LinkedIn and manage the website also through content development to enhance visibility of al projects promoted by EU KAFI AICS Cairo in Egypt including other EUfunded programmes.
Liaise with local and international press officers and media outlets also through the organization of missions and visits ot existing relevant ongoing projects and programmes and the preparation of joint press releases.
Coordinate with relevant officers at AICS Cairo for the identification and organization of communication and visibility events.
Liaise with communication and public information officers at the EU Delegation and Egyptian authorities as appropriate to ensure alignment and commonality in strategic communications around the Programme.
Contribute to the production of EU KAFI external reports and technical documents for Communication and Visibility including other EUfunded programmes.
Lead the organization of events and meetings with regards to the communication visibility and outreach aspects and interaction with the press and media outlets.
Performing any other relevant activities as requested also to improve synergies with other EU funded programmes.
Requirements
3.1 Education background :
Bachelors University degree in Communication Studies Journalism Marketing International Relations Political and Social Sciences International Development Languages or other relevant discipline or related fields of studies. Other degrees will be considered when matched with highly qualified professional experience in the sector of intervention.
3.2 Language skills :
a. Arabic native speaker.
.b Very god command of English both written and spoken C(1 European Level).
3.3 Experiences and competences :
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in communication and visibility activities.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications and of any other useful application for visibility and communication purposes (photoshop canva social media TI designing programs etc.) email (outlook) and internet.
3. Preferred requirements :
The following preferred requirements will be additionally considered:
Higher degrees and qualifications in his/her educational studies.
Relevant professional experience with Italian and international organisations (UN EU). Previous experience in either EUfunded projects or EU coordination mechanisms.
Knowledge of Italian language B1 level Common European Framework of Reference. Teamwork and team building attitude strategic and effective communicational skills.
Essential requirements 3.1 Education background Bachelor's University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Procurement or similar field of studies. Other degrees will be considered when matched with highly qualified professional experience in the sector of intervention. 3.2 Language skills Arabic native speaker. English both written and spoken (C1 European level). 3.3 Experiences and competences - Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience (post-graduation) in the field of administrative/financial/procurement sectors in the framework of development programmes. - Experience in procurement, budgeting, planning and reporting on international funded projects of at least 5 years. - Experience in the Italian and/or European procurement procedures of at least 3 years. - Professional skills and experience in the support for procurement and recruitment procedures. - Proficient in using computers including Microsoft programs, spreadsheet, Email (outlook). 3.4 Preferred requirements - Atleast level B1 of the Italian language. - Relevant professional experience with Italian and international organisations (UN, EU). - Teamwork and effective communicational skills.
