Overview
The Python Developer II Intern role at software companies is a crucial position responsible for supporting the development maintenance and optimization of software applications using Python programming language. This role plays an essential part in contributing to the overall success of the company by assisting in the design and implementation of scalable software solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the development team to create and maintain Pythonbased applications
- Assist in the design and implementation of web services and APIs using Python
- Contribute to the development of software requirements and detailed design documents
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Identify and address technical debt to enhance application performance
- Work on debugging and troubleshooting software issues
- Assist in integrating userfacing elements developed by frontend developers with serverside logic
- Contribute to the improvement of internal development tools and processes
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define design and ship new features
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle including planning development testing and maintenance
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in Python development
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternative technologies and presenting these for architectural review
- Assist in the documentation of software and application development processes
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical and user documentation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field
- Demonstrated understanding of Python programming language and related frameworks
- Knowledge of web development using HTML CSS and JavaScript
- Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Understanding of database management and SQL
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Understanding of software testing principles and processes
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment processes
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and data protection
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proactive and selfmotivated attitude towards learning and professional development
- Previous internship or relevant work experience is a plus
