Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data
- Implement database solutions in line with organizational requirements
- Optimize and tune SQL queries for improved performance
- Participate in the design and development of ETL processes
- Create and maintain database documentation
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with applications
- Develop and implement data models for databases
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of databases
- Monitor database systems to ensure security and availability
- Conduct regular performance testing and provide performance tuning recommendations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Proven experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar role
- Proficiency in SQL programming and database management
- Knowledge of ETL processes and tools
- Ability to perform query optimization and performance tuning
- Experience in data modeling and database design
- Familiarity with database security best practices
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Certifications in database technologies (e.g. Oracle SQL Developer Microsoft Certified: Azure SQL Database Administrator Associate) is a plus
