Description:
Physical therapist Assistant helps patient(s) accomplish treatment plan and accept therapeutic activities by administering manual physical exercises; instructing encouraging and assisting patients in nonmanual exercises ambulatory functional activities and dailyliving activities as well as applying assistive and supportive quality care. PTA will assess and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation by physician(s). PTA will document patient care services by charting in patient and department records in compliance with federal state and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Your duties will include:
Follow Up visits home health orthopedic patients
Continues to meet eligibility requirements for home health services
Helps patients in using supportive devices such as crutches canes and prostheses.
Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens giving normal growth and development information and promoting wellness and health maintenance.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations and adhering to infectioncontrol policies and protocols.
Maintains production objectives by noting current treatment trends and monitoring actual physical therapy services rendered to production objectives.
Driving is a requirement
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Assistant Therapy Assistant Program.
Candidates must possess instate licensure
1 year of home health experience as a physical therapist Assistant
Candidates must possess strong caring interpersonal skills
Valid Drivers license and clean DMV
