Overview:
As a Project Planner in the construction industry you will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop manage and update project schedules ensuring smooth progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning:
- Create and maintain detailed schedules.
- Collaborate with managers architects and engineers for information.
- Scheduling:
- Use MS Project/Primavera to manage timelines.
- Update schedules regularly based on progress.
- Resource Management:
- Coordinate with contractors and allocate resources.
- Monitor and resolve resourcerelated issues.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain and update risk registers.
- Reporting:
- Generate progress reports for stakeholders.
- Present schedules and updates during meetings.
- Coordination:
- Ensure smooth communication between project teams.
- Facilitate workflow across departments.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure schedules meet quality standards and regulations.
- Monitor project timelines for quality compliance.
- Cost Management:
- Work with the cost control team to track expenditures.
- Align project schedules with the budget.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze past projects for process improvements.
- Stay informed on industry best practices.
- Contractual Obligations:
- Ensure schedules meet contractual deadlines.
- Work with legal teams to resolve schedulerelated issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 510 years of experience in project planning using MS Project or Primavera (advanced level).
