Job Description
**Job Title:** Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team and contribute to the successful delivery of our projects.
**Job Summary:**
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and financial control of construction projects. This role involves preparing cost estimates managing budgets and ensuring that financial aspects of projects are executed effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Cost Estimation:** Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects including materials labor and overheads.
**Budget Management:** Develop and manage project budgets ensuring that all expenditures are tracked and controlled within the approved limits.
**Tendering:** Prepare and review tender documents including bills of quantities and assist in the evaluation and selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
**Contract Administration:** Administer contracts including the preparation of interim valuations variations and final accounts.
**Cost Control:** Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase identifying and addressing any potential financial issues.
**Reporting:** Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to project managers and senior management highlighting any discrepancies or concerns.
**Site Visits:** Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure that work is being completed in accordance with the contract and budget.
**Dispute Resolution:** Assist in resolving any financial disputes or claims that may arise during the course of the project.
**Qualifications:**
**Education:** Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Management or a related field.
**Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry with a proven track record of managing largescale projects.
**Skills:**
Indepth knowledge of construction processes contracts and financial management.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
**Certifications:** Membership with a recognized professional body (e.g. RICS) is preferred.
**Additional Information:**
**Location:** Based in Oman with occasional site visits as required.
