Job Description
The Retail Planner drives sales plan through a consistent focus on studying the business monitoring inventory and sales performance and providing analysis necessary to bring in new products to fit the needs of the customer. Track sales performance of existing products and assist in the determination of next steps; this includes developing inseason forecasts and future merchandise plans. Work closely with buying and merchandising to optimize store assortments. Ensure that the merchandise financial targets are met including tracking and managing the open tobuy sales and inventory.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Manage the OTB sales and inventory at brand/ category level and ensure that the merchandise targets are met on a monthly quarterly and annual basis.
2. Participate in weekly / monthly inseason forecast and OTB meetings.
3. Analyse historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities; compare sales data of the planned category to company sales and provide action plans to reconcile deviations.
4. Partner with the sourcing/buying to actively manage inventory levels by increasing and decreasing inventory and/or cancelling orders.
5. On a monthly and quarterly basis recap and report back on the sales and inventory results to plan forecast inseason sales and inventory.
6. Partner with buyers to maintain store clusters using stock movement capacity geography by gender / category.
7. Review orders with instore date 30 days out to identify any changes required. Prioritize key styles/categories for delivery. Ensure preallocations to meet store targets.
Job Requirements:
1. Strong aptitude with numbers and clear understanding of retail.
2. Product analysis analysing product performance regularly track competitors activities consumer s needs and buying pattern.
3. Analysing Slow/Fast movers and provide the insights to Design/VM/MKT for necessary actions.
4. Preparation of scheduled reports (Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly) for review & provide the same with insights to Management.
5. Review the scheduled reports with Operation & Store Managers for performance improvement.
6. Entire Performance analysis (Category Product Stores & aging) and taking appropriate action.
7. SKU rationalization for inventory optimization.
8. Analysing Target vs Achievement of the category on store level & take necessary action for sales achievement.
