Job Title: Commercial Electrical Estimator
Job Type: FullTime Indefinite Agreement

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detailoriented Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for electrical projects preparing detailed proposals and ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems project management and cost estimation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate Preparation: Develop accurate cost estimates for commercial electrical projects by analyzing blueprints technical specifications and project requirements.
- Proposal Development: Prepare detailed and comprehensive proposals including cost breakdowns timelines and scope of work.
- Bid Analysis: Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather project details discuss changes and address any concerns or questions.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to ensure that estimates align with project plans and schedules.
- Market Research: Stay uptodate with industry trends material costs and labor rates to provide accurate and competitive estimates.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of estimates changes and project costs for future reference and analysis.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and provide recommendations for mitigating costs and managing project risks.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all estimates are completed to the highest standard and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrical estimator in the commercial sector.
- Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g. Accubid Bluebeam Excel). Strong understanding of electrical systems codes and regulations.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients subcontractors and team members.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple estimates and projects simultaneously with a focus on deadlines and accuracy.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Professional Estimator) are a plus.
