Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled OMNISSA Horizon Admin with expertise in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration configuration and support of the OMNISSA Horizon VDI platform ensuring optimal performance security and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer manage and support the OMNISSA Horizon VDI platform ensuring the delivery of reliable and secure virtual desktops to users.
Install configure and update Horizon components including Horizon View Connection Servers Unified Access Gateway and Composer.
Monitor the performance of the Horizon environment identifying and troubleshooting issues to ensure high availability and performance.
Implement and enforce security policies such as user authentication access control and endpoint protection within the VDI environment.
Work closely with the networking and infrastructure teams to ensure proper integration of VDI services with other enterprise systems.
Perform regular updates patches and backups to maintain the stability and security of the Horizon VDI environment.
Optimize the VDI environment for scalability ensuring it can support growing business needs.
Provide technical support for endusers resolving VDIrelated issues and offering troubleshooting guidance.
Document configuration changes system upgrades and incidents for future reference and compliance audits.
Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth deployment of VDI for new users and assist with desktop virtualization initiatives.
Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
57 years of experience in administering OMNISSA Horizon .
Indepth knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies including desktop pools persistent and nonpersistent desktops and application virtualization.
Experience with managing Horizon environments including performance tuning and capacity planning.
Strong understanding of networking storage and server infrastructure as it pertains to VDI.
Experience with system monitoring tools and techniques to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Familiarity with security best practices in VDI environments.
Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience in crossfunctional teamwork.
