Job Description
Overview:
The Video Editor plays a crucial role in creating highquality visual content by editing and assembling raw video footage into a polished product. They work closely with the creative team to bring concepts to life through compelling visual storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and organizing footage to ensure smooth editing process
- Editing and assembling video content with a focus on storytelling and pacing
- Adding visual effects graphics and other elements to enhance the video
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives
- Ensuring the final product aligns with the brands guidelines and vision
- Managing and organizing video files and assets
- Performing color correction and grading to enhance visual appeal
- Optimizing sound quality through editing and mixing audio tracks
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in video editing
- Participating in brainstorming and creative meetings to contribute ideas
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Film Production Media Arts or related field
- Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro or After Effects.
- Strong portfolio showcasing past projects and editing techniques
- Understanding of visual storytelling and narrative structure
- Knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects
- Ability to work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics
- Sound editing and mixing skills
