Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize BigCommerce themes and templates to meet client needs
- Integrate thirdparty applications and APIs to expand ecommerce functionality
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and implement frontend features
- Ensure responsive design and optimal user experience across different devices
- Implement and maintain payment gateways shipping methods and tax configurations
- Optimize website performance and conduct troubleshooting as needed
- Stay updated with BigCommerce platform updates and best practices
- Provide technical support and training to clients and team members
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fastpaced environment
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience in customizing and developing solutions on the BigCommerce platform
- Proficiency in frontend development languages such as HTML CSS and JavaScript
- Strong understanding of ecommerce principles and best practices
- Experience with API integration and web services development
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize website performance and functionality
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a crossfunctional environment
- Knowledge of web analytics and SEO best practices for ecommerce sites
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on business needs and project timelines
- Certifications in BigCommerce development and/or related technologies is a plus
