Engineering Technician

Assist engineer in development and construction of new existing equipment. Builds fixtures from component level up. Soldering machining air and water plumbing skills are necessary.

Troubleshoots service and repairs production equipment including production machines test equipment etc. Determines parts to be replaced or repaired reordered replacement part used as required.

Builds repairs and modifies electrical and electronic instruments and fixtures. Rebuilds pneumatic hydraulic and electrical components.

Clean adjust and repair air tools electrical power tools and handheld hot glue guns. Builds and modifies equipment using machine tools power tools welding equipment and torches.

Plumbs and wires various fixtures and molds. Troubleshoots and repairs jigs and fixtures. Notifies supervisor of breakdowns and equipment malfunction.

Communicates with machine manufacturing representatives as necessary when problems arise to equipment malfunction and/or parts.

May open and close facility for access purpose needed.

Position Description:

Performs calibrations on equipment as needed for production assembly.

Notifies Maintenance Supervisor or breakdown faulty equipment and reorder supplies as required. Reconciles purchases card reports as needed.

Keeps the work area clean and orderly and maintains equipment and tolls in good working order.
