Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Venture Capital Financial Analyst to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills a deep understanding of financial modeling and a passion for venture capital and startups. As a Venture Capital Financial Analyst you will play a key role in evaluating potential investment opportunities conducting due diligence and supporting our portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities:

Investment Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis and valuation of potential investment opportunities. This includes building and maintaining financial models performing market research and assessing the financial health and growth potential of target companies.

Due Diligence: Assist in the due diligence process by analyzing business plans financial statements and other relevant documents. Identify key risks and opportunities associated with potential investments.

Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends emerging technologies and competitive landscapes to provide insights and recommendations to the investment team.

Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and investment committees. Summarize key findings insights and recommendations to support investment decisions.

Portfolio Support: Support the management of portfolio companies by monitoring performance metrics assisting with financial planning and providing strategic recommendations.

Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the investment team as well as with external advisors entrepreneurs and industry experts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Accounting or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g. MBA) or relevant certifications (e.g. CFA) is a plus.
- Experience in financial analysis investment banking private equity or venture capital.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling valuation techniques and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Solid understanding of venture capital processes and startup dynamics.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and financial databases (e.g. Bloomberg PitchBook).
