Job Description
Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst Real Estate
Job Location: Chesterfield MO (Hybrid)
Job Type: ContracttoHire (6 months)
Job Description
The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a key role within the Real Estate Investments team responsible for providing reporting solutions to support the full lifecycle of Commercial Mortgage Loans. Working with limited supervision the Business Intelligence Analyst will analyze design and develop various reporting tools including SSRS report development custom data extracts Tableau and Power BI dashboards as well as handling adhoc data and reporting requests to meet the data needs of the Real Estate Investment team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements for reporting and dashboard design and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
- Facilitate structured walkthroughs of requirements with business and project teams.
- Design and develop canned custom and adhoc reports for Commercial Mortgage Loans supporting origination underwriting asset management accounting and servicing using BI tools such as SSRS custom SQL queries Power Queries and Power Pivots.
- Create and develop Tableau and Power BI dashboards to serve the real estate and investment teams.
- Analyze and extract Commercial Mortgage Loan data to provide insights on key performance metrics trends data audits and portfolio management analytics.
- Develop test plans for reporting requests in accordance with standard SDLC processes.
- Maintain and update report documentation using deployment tools to manage report migration across various environments.
- Train real estate business users on the Commercial Mortgage Loan Reporting system to facilitate a selfservice reporting model.
- Contribute to special projects offering data analytics and data modeling to support real estate business users.
- Assess current data usage within the Commercial Mortgage Loan system and implement performance improvements coordinating closely with IT investment teams to address any necessary data cleanup.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent related work experience
- 3 years in Business Intelligence and data warehousing areas
- 3 years in programming and system analysis
- 3 years using SQL Server
Preferred:
- Experience in Commercial Real Estate Finance
- Working knowledge of Loan Management Systems
- Working knowledge of Visual Studio and GitHub source control
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required:
- Intermediate SQL/Query Skills
- Intermediate Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools including SSRS Tableau and Power BI
- Intermediate Knowledge of SharePoint Visio & Microsoft Access
- Intermediate Knowledge of Excel Word and PowerPoint
- Intermediate level of investigative analytical and problemsolving skills
- Broad business knowledge including knowledge of investments andor financial lending
