Job Description
As an Azure Cloud Engineer you will be responsible for the design implementation and management of cloudbased infrastructure and services on the Microsoft Azure platform. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure the security scalability and reliability of cloud environments. This position requires expertise. in various Azure services such as Azure App Services Azure Networking and Azure DevOps as well as proficiency in Windows Server SQL Server Linux (Ubuntu) and tools like HAProxy and IIS.
Additionally you will be tasked with ensuring business continuity through effective disaster recovery planning and monitoring solutions using tools like New Relic.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 35 years of experience in cloud engineering systems administration or a similar role.
- Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Skills Required:
- Strong handson experience with Microsoft Azure including Azure App Services Azure Networking and Azure DevOps.
- Expertise in Windows Server () SQL Server (2019) and administration.
- Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu) and HAProxy for managing and loadbalancing web services.
- Experience managing and configuring IIS (Internet Information Services) for web hosting.
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Strong knowledge of business continuity planning and disaster recovery strategies.
- Experience with monitoring tools like New Relic for performance tracking and optimization.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work in a teamoriented environment.
Advantageous Qualifications:
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in other programming/scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration.
- Familiarity with network security and compliance standards such as GDPR and ISO 27001.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of highavailability architectures and load balancing strategies.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment.
- Proactive attitude toward learning and adapting to new technologies.
