Role available in London UK or County Kildare Ireland.

The Postgres DBA will manage the performance of the Companys technology applications and work closely with the CTO engineering and QA team to define the product relational data strategy. Fantastic opportunity to join a fastgrowing company & help scale the performance of their SaaS platform!

Duties will involve:

• Report to the CTO to plan coordinate execute and direct database management tuning & optimization to ensure ongoing performance & scalability of the companys SaaS platform
• Create and maintain a cloud product and database strategy for both analytical and transactional data processing
• Design & implement database maintenance procedures
• Configure monitor & improve PostgreSQL databases
• Design & implement database backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Troubleshoot database performance & data issues
• Assist development teams with database design & always ensuring database security best practices

Experience & Skills needed:

• 4 years experience in managing PostgreSQL databases in a production environment
• 2 years experience in database tuning & DBA roles
• Degree in Computer Science or similar
• Experience working in a high volume transaction environment & supporting large production database environments
• Experience working collaboratively with application development teams to implement solutions
• Strong knowledge of SQL & database related technologies
• Experience with: Shell scripting; Linux; Amazon AWS & RDS
