Anticipated Schedule: Days Full Time
Starting salary range: $125000.00 to $170000.00
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse who possesses additional clinical and didactic education to function at an advanced level of nursing practice. They will be clinically competent in physical diagnosis psychosocial assessment and management of healthillness needs to provide direct patient care and education to patients families students and nursing staff. The NP consistently demonstrates the core values of the medical center and serves as a role model to other employees.

The Physician Assistant (PA) provides and coordinates direct patient care. The PA provides diagnostic therapeutic and preventative healthcare services as delegated by a physician. The PA will report to the Nurse Manager of the department for all employee/employer issues regarding departmental and organizational operations. The PA consistently demonstrates the core values of the Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION (Nurse Practioner Position)
Experience:
- Must have recent experience appropriate to the clinical area where practice will occur such as urgent care family practice rural health care walkin medical care and occupational medicine. New graduates will be considered
- Bilingual in Spanish desirable: Occupational Health Center Walkin Clinics Primary Care Practice
- Also desired is a 1year experience in evaluation & treatment in workers compensation/injured worker episodic care setting occupational and environmental health clinic and /or employee health nurse in a medical or industrial facility: Occupational Health
Education:
- Graduate of a Family Nurse Practitioner program
Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:
- Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application
- Meets Centers for Medical and Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare
- Current CPR recognition
- Current ACLS recognition (within 6 months of hire)
- Current PALS recognition (within 1 year of hire) (Employees who were classified as Nurse Practitioners for Prompt Care before February 2018 AND who will not be crosstrained to the Emergency Department will be grandfathered in without this requirement.)
- Credentialed through the Medical Staff and Finance office
- Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner Certification (within one year of hire)
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:
- Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Must have the ability to lead motivate delegate analyze information and problemsolve.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION (for Physician Assistant Position)
Experience:
- Recent experience appropriate to the clinical area where practice will occur such as pediatrics family practice rural health care walkin medical care occupational medicine and anticoagulation therapy. New graduates will be considered.
- One year of California Health Disability Program (CHDP) experience preferred: ECHC LMFHC
- Bilingual in Spanish desirable: ECHC LMFHC Occupational Health Center
- Oneyear experience in evaluation & treatment in workers compensation/injured worker episodic care setting occupational and environmental health clinic and /or employee health nurse in a medical or industrial facility: Occupational Health
Education:
- Graduate of a PA educational program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission (ARC) on Education for Physician Assistants (or its predecessor agencies) OR current certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:
- Current California Physician Assistant License
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) if not a graduate from an accredited ARC Physician Assistant educational program
- Current CPR recognition
- Current ACLS recognition (within 6 months of hire)
