Note :candidates should be Local to Louisiana
Background: The Office of Technology Services (OTS) was established as a means of recognizing cost savings through
the consolidation of State IT assets and resources. The creation of OTS consolidated a wide variety of existing
hardware platforms operating systems database management systems networks third party software and custom
applications.
OTS leads the States technology procurement process in order to standardize technology over the entire
organization seek efficiencies of operations maintenance and scalability of new products introduced to the OTS
suite of services which can eventually be offered to all inscope agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the architecture design development and implementation of an enterprise grade application.
Responsible for the development of standards procedures and guidelines for application design and development
on the project.
Reviews the work of the other technical project members ensuring quality of work timeliness and software
efficiency.
Create highlevel architecture specifications addressing problems of system integration and compatibility at the
system/solution level.
Create reference architectures applications and proofs of concept for application development solutions.
Collaborate with project and organizational leadership on initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Contributes to the review and evaluation of technology solutions providing feedback to leadership.
Participates in all necessary team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies.
Provide technical knowledge transfer training documentation mentorship and guidance to State personnel for
all requested work.
Monitor review and audit performance of the customeragencys replacement software and make performance
improvements.
Education:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Information Systems or other related
discipline
Experience:
7 years of relevant experience designing and implementing enterprise class .NET applications.
3 years of relevant experience designing and implementing CI/CD processes for automated build test and
deployment using DevOps practices.
3 years of experience leading a team of software developers through the design development testing
debugging documentation and implementation of an application.
Experience with monitoring/observability platforms and instrumenting applications to trace transactions and
provide timely alerts around issues.
Experience designing and implementing high transaction volume distributed systems.
Architect level certifications for one or more technical disciplines (Windows Linux Cloud Networking Security
DevOps etc )
