CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Microbiologist, to join a company developing, manufacturing and supplying products and services for the food and drinks industry, at their site based in Surrey on a permanent basis.
Location:The site is based in Surrey and is commutable from Leatherhead, Westcott, Cheam, Woking, Redhill, Chessington and surrounding areas.
Your duties and responsibilities will involve:- Oversee the planning and coordination of yeast slope production to meet client orders on time.
- Facilitate and guide microbiologists and technicians to achieve production targets.
- Develop new methods and improvements within the laboratory to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure yeast products comply with all customer, company, and legal requirements.
- Manage and schedule staffing within the yeast team to ensure efficient operation.
Your Background:- Proven experience in yeast production or microbiology, with a strong background in laboratory work.
- Leadership experience, particularly in managing teams and coordinating across departments.
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles and quality management systems.
- Experience with DNA fingerprinting and yeast strain analysis is preferred.
