Job Description
Job Type: Fulltime Optometrist must be fluent in Spanish
Subspecialty: Glaucoma
Practice Location: Texas City (South Houston)
Population: 56k
MD Or Corporate Owned: OD owned
Reason for Job Opening: Expanding
Experience Requirement: Glaucoma and surgical care
Partnership Opportunity: Considered after 5 years
Target Base Compensation: $120 140K
Bonus Opportunity: Avg of $50K
Retirement Program: 401K Starts after first year
Other Benefits: CE allowance Credentialing malpractice.
Vacation/PTO: 10 days PTO the first year 15 PTO every year after that.
Target Start Date: February 2025
Current patient volume: Average 80 per week Office only.
Estimated Surg Volume for this role: Minimal to moderate (Minor surgery amniotic membrane punctal plugs etc.)
Support Staff: Front Office 2.5 Office manager 1 Tech 1.5 Optician 1 Billing 1 House call dept. 2 Doctors: 1.5.
Hospital Call: zero
ODs on Staff: 1.5
OD Network: 4 surgery centers but primarily work with one.
OD – patient per day expectation: 20
Refractive Surgery Lasik: Pre and Postopt care
Hospital Affiliation: HCA and UTMB
ASC: Pending
