The Role
Working as part of the Specialist Support Team, as a Project Engineer you will provide change management and adoption via customer onboarding, project work or 3rd line support.
Key Responsibilities for the Project Engineer
- Work as part of the team to manage and deliver change management and adoption processes through customer onboardings, project work, or 3rd line support.
- Handle 3rd line escalations, providing advanced technical support across endpoint, network, and infrastructure environments to ensure robust and resilient IT operations.
- Identify and proactively recommend opportunities for process improvements and optimisation of IT systems.
- Collaborate in solution design and implementation for both pre-sale initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Deploy and manage Azure resources, including Azure Virtual Desktop, virtual machines, and Azure Files, to support scalable cloud solutions.
- Administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS, to maintain a secure and efficient IT infrastructure.
- Provide expert support and management of Microsoft 365 products, such as Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Skills and Experience for the Project Engineer Role
- Experience working within an MSP
- Proven track record of project delivery
- Microsoft 365 including Exchange, active directory
- Azure Administration - Azure Virtual Desktop, virtual machines, and Azure Files, to drive scalable cloud solutions.
- Windows Server administration
- 3rd line support experience across endpoint, network, and infrastructure environments
- Valid driving license
