General Summary
The Systems Administrator is responsible for implementing maintaining and optimizing the organization s infrastructure systems and network. This role involves leading and completing complex projects collaborating with other team members and 3rdparty vendors and providing advanced technical support to resolve complex issues.
Essential Functions
- Administer a Windowsdominant server environment including some Linuxbased servers.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues taking appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance resolving issues such as internet bandwidth problems ISP issues and firewall/router changes.
- Administer a Fortinetbased network.
- Plan develop and execute implementation strategies for software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
- Provide administration for a hybrid local Active Directory and Microsoft 365 (Entra) tenant management environment.
- Administer a Veeam backup environment ensuring data protection and recovery readiness.
- Provide knowledge and guidance to technicians as needed to support issue resolution.
- Perform disaster recovery tests as directed ensuring system resilience and recovery capability.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 level support for user issues delivering timely and effective resolutions.
- Produce maintain and update detailed technical documentation.
- Provide oncall support and perform scheduled maintenance during offhours as required.
- Ensure workstation and server data integrity and uniformity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.

- Ability to efficiently leverage vendor support and collaborate with team members to find resolutions within expected SLAs.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to nontechnical users.
- Ability to work independently managing tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and communicate technical ideas and issues clearly to nontechnical users.
- Ability to work well in a highpressure environment set and change priorities quickly and maintain an orderly project completion process.
- Experience with Windows Server infrastructure services including DHCP DNS Authentication Active Directory Group Policy Intune Certificate Services etc.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP network fundamentals and related equipment (firewalls switches routers etc.).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and the ability to use it effectively for maintenance and task automation.
- Reliable transportation is required for daily/weekly travel among branches.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as moving equipment is routine; includes carrying pushing and/or pulling equipment and/or devices and the ability to climb stoop kneel crouch and/or crawl.
- Bachelor s degree in a related field with at least two years administration experience or an equivalent combination of education certifications and technical experience supporting Windows environments.

- Experience with HyperV or similar virtualization technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity practices and tools.
- Familiarity with Fortinet networking equipment.
Compensation
We provide marketdriven base pay based on skills abilities and level of experience. Individual salaries will be market competitive and based on a candidate s unique set of skills and experience. The range for this position is $60000 to $75000 per year. A new employee in this position can expect to be at about the 25% percentile of the pay range.
