Job Description:
As a Senior Tax Accountant you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the companys tax reporting and compliance within all required deadlines. This role requires a thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations as well as strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal state and local tax returns for individuals corporations partnerships and trusts.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Manage and oversee tax audits and correspondences with tax authorities.
- Develop tax strategies and policies that align with the companys financial goals.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior tax staff.
- Prepare tax provisions and related disclosures for financial statements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure tax compliance and reporting accuracy.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks.
- Assist with special tax projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- CPA or other relevant certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting with a focus on corporate tax.
- Indepth knowledge of tax laws and regulations at the federal state and local levels.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with tax research tools CCH RIA is a plus.
