Senior Tax Accountant

Job Description:

As a Senior Tax Accountant you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the companys tax reporting and compliance within all required deadlines. This role requires a thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations as well as strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal state and local tax returns for individuals corporations partnerships and trusts.
• Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Manage and oversee tax audits and correspondences with tax authorities.
• Develop tax strategies and policies that align with the companys financial goals.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior tax staff.
• Prepare tax provisions and related disclosures for financial statements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure tax compliance and reporting accuracy.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks.
• Assist with special tax projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
• CPA or other relevant certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting with a focus on corporate tax.
• Indepth knowledge of tax laws and regulations at the federal state and local levels.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience with tax research tools CCH RIA is a plus.
