Overview
The SEO Intern will be a vital member of our marketing team responsible for assisting in the implementation of SEO strategies to drive organic traffic and improve website visibility. This role is crucial in optimizing our online presence and increasing our brands digital footprint.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in conducting keyword research and analysis to guide content optimization and marketing strategies.
- Support the implementation of onpage and offpage SEO techniques to improve website performance and search engine rankings.
- Utilize SEO tools to monitor site performance traffic and rankings and provide regular reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with the content team to optimize website content meta data and structure for improved search visibility.
- Assist in link building strategies and outreach efforts to increase backlink profile and domain authority.
- Contribute to local SEO efforts including Google My Business optimization and local directory listings.
- Participate in website audits and technical SEO analysis to identify and address site issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay updated on SEO and digital marketing trends best practices and algorithm updates to ensure the implementation of current strategies.
- Assist in the management of Google Analytics and other tracking tools to monitor website performance and user behavior.
- Support the optimization of website speed performance and mobile usability for improved user experience and search rankings.
- Participate in A/B testing and conversion rate optimization efforts to enhance website performance and user engagement.
- Assist in the optimization of website images and multimedia content for search engine visibility and user experience.
- Contribute to the creation and management of SEOfriendly URLs sitemaps and website structure.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate SEO strategies with other digital marketing initiatives and campaigns.
Required qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Communications or related field.
- Demonstrated interest in and basic knowledge of SEO digital marketing and online content optimization.
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics Google Search Console SEMrush Moz or similar platforms.
- Understanding of onpage and offpage SEO factors and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to interpret data and identify optimization opportunities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Ability to work with HTML CSS and content management systems for basic website editing and optimization.
- Basic understanding of website architecture UX/UI principles and mobile optimization.
- Detailoriented and organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to learn and adapt to evolving SEO trends and algorithms.
- Experience with keyword research content optimization or link building is a plus.
- Basic understanding of local SEO and its impact on regional search visibility and user experience.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and their role in SEO and online visibility.
