Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and DBA services for customer projects including assisting developers in troubleshooting PeopleSoft errors working with vendors when necessary and tuning PeopleSoft components.
- Perform DBA tasks such as installation configuration testing maintenance backup recovery patching and upgrades of PeopleSoft systems.
- Responsibilities include managing and maintaining logical and physical database structures data file systems disk subsystems accounts/passwords backups (both logical and physical) SQL/database tuning and refreshing nonproduction environments.
- Administer databases for other applications including Oracle OBIEE and SuccessFactors Learning Management System.
- Utilize advanced expertise across multiple technologies to collaborate with peers in analyzing database performance troubleshooting issues optimizing performance and assessing system capacity.
- Conduct root cause analysis develop corrective actions and engage in tactical and strategic planning to resolve issues improve responses and plan for future IT services investments.
- Ensure compliance with configurations patches approved designs and SOX controls within the Oracle PeopleSoft database environment.
- Actively participate in the change management process to implement changes with minimal disruption to services.
- Collaborate with peers to support IT database infrastructure on a 24/7 basis including oncall duties shift work and emergency support which may require travel to locations outside the employees primary work site.
- Possess strong knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft components such as Tuxedo Process Scheduler Integration Broker Application Messaging Linux OS Windows and Oracle DB infrastructure.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics Business Administration or a related field; or equivalent education training and experience.
- Extensive experience and expertlevel knowledge in Oracle Database Administration and Oracle PeopleSoft 9.x or higher.
- Strong expertise in database creation data refreshes schema object modifications and tablespace management.
- Proven experience managing and supporting large PeopleSoft databases with high transaction volumes.
- Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning within largescale Oracle 11g environments.
