Job Description

  • Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing daily production operations managing 100 employees including production line managers and operators.
  • Manage and optimize production across 3 machines with capacities of 12 tons/hour 4 tons/hour and 8 tons/hour.
  • Oversee the entire soap manufacturing process including oil refining stearine and oline production.
  • Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety quality and efficiency.
  • Supervise and mentor staff fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Analyze production processes and implement improvements to optimize performance and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure minimal downtime of machinery.
  • Track inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of raw materials.
  • Prepare and present reports on production performance and suggest areas for process improvement.
  • Learn and understand all plant operations with the goal of stepping into the Plant Manager position.



Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive experience in the soap industry particularly in both liquid and hard soap production.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with experience managing large teams (approximately 100 employees).
  • Fluent in French (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of production processes including oil refining stearine and oline.
  • Familiarity with operating and optimizing machines with same capacities (12 tons/hour).
  • Ability to implement production schedules and meet output goals while maintaining product quality.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and a handson approach to operational challenges.
  • Previous experience in managing or working in a West African production facility is a plus.
